Best All Rounder 2020 - Mid Sussex Tri Club

The BAR (Best All Rounder) competition is back for 2020. The list of races are given below, they have been put together with the aim of inclusivity as all of the races are local and entry fees have been kept to a minimum.

You can compete in the Short BAR for less than £100, this is remarkable considering it is very easy to spend more than that on a single race. Below is the explanation of the scoring system and which awards are on offer.

Scoring

As before, points are awarded as follows, 10 points for 1^st club member (women and men), 9 points for 2^nd etc. After first 9 places every competitor receives 1 point. Each BAR trophy goes to the athlete with the most cumulative points from best 6 race results out of 7 events. One athlete cannot win both Short and Long events, although they can enter any event and receive points.

Best Athlete trophy. Most points. If there is a tie, lowest time for events competed together. The winner of the Best Athlete cannot also win the Long or Short BAR and in that circumstance that trophy goes to the second placed athlete. Judge's decision final.
